Edward has very low HP, low strength growth, and high agility growth. Typically his best use in the early game is using a Dancing Dagger, though he can put out respectable damage with a good bow and arrows and some strength boosting gear. With 9 agility at base level, he can also make a good anchor for mid and late game, provided he doesn't gain any levels.

Edward's biggest strength in Free Enterprise is his Hide ability, which can be used for a variety of boss cheeses:

• Most notably, Zeromus can be defeated at any level by hiding from Big Bangs and reflecting counter Nukes with StarVeils.

• When free bosses are enabled¹⁾, Edward can hide from D.Knight until the fight ends.
• Against Odin, Edward can hide until the “Thunderstruck” instant-defeat condition can be met.
• EvilWall will attack itself if all living party members are off-screen. In some locations, it can even defeat itself.

Sing has some niche uses as well, as it can potentially nullify enemies that don't have the boss bit.

Heal requires a Cure1 potion, which are not available in many Free Enterprise flagsets, and heals for very little, so it is of minimal use.

Edward Equipment

Becomes untargetable until unhide is selected.

Automatically hides if hp is critical, and no enemies have the boss bit.

If a harp is equipped, this command produces one of four effects:

25% chance of casting Sleep
25% chance of casting Mute
25% chance of casting Charm
25% chance of doing nothing

However, if Edward has Toad status:

100% chance of casting Toad

(Requires enabling the j-abilities flag)
Uses one Cure1 potion from your inventory as a multi-target heal. The healing power is split among the characters, so the amount healed is very low.
