====== Spoiler Logs ====== The randomizer flags include the option to output a spoiler log that lists some or (almost) all of the randomized information about the particular seed. Seeds rolled with full or partial spoiler logs will have distinct randomizations from those rolled without spoilers, even with the same flagset outside of the spoiler log and the same seed name. ===== What's Included ===== The ''-spoil:'' flag stem enables spoiler logs. All spoiler logs will output: * The version of FE used to generate the specific seed. * The 10-character seed name. * The human-readable flags and the non-human-readable binflags, unless the seed is a mystery seed (with hidden flags). * Objectives, if there are any. * Note that the number of required objectives will not be listed. * Objectives are listed between characters and bosses. Spoiler logs will not reveal the Z sprite nor the TwinHarp music. Under ''-spoil:all'', the spoiler log will provide the following information, in order: * Key item locations (including the Pass if ''Pkey'' is enabled), formatted as ''key item .. location''. * If ''Knofree'' is on, then instead of listing "Edward/Toroia item", the log will read "D.Mist/Rydia's mom item". The location of D.Mist is not listed here. * If a key item is in a monster-in-a-box chest under ''Kmiab'', then the location will be "[Area] MIAB" instead of identifying the specific MIAB location in that area. * With objectives and ''Owin:crystal'', the Crystal's location will be listed as "Objective completion". * Under ''Kvanilla'' and ''Onone'', the Crystal will be listed as "Fallen Golbez item", since you obtain it from Golbez right before the Z fight. * Quest rewards, formatted as ''quest .. item''. The quests listed here are the 28 key item checks (from ''Kmain'', ''Ksummon'', and ''Kmoon''), as well as the reward for turning in the Pink Tail. Some of the spots are clarified by what reward is given there in the vanilla game. * If ''Knofree'' is on, then instead of listing "Edward/Toroia item", the log will read "D.Mist/Rydia's mom item". * All 29 quests will be listed regardless of the specific flags (e.g. you can see what the LST altars give on just ''Kmain''). * On ''Kvanilla'', Baron Castle does not give anything; the spoiler log will read "(nothing)". * Characters, formatted as ''character location .. character''. * Under ''Cnofree'', ''Cnoearned'', or ''Omode:classicgiant'', if a character location has no character, then the spoiler log will read "(not present)". * Bosses, formatted as ''boss position .. boss''. * Since there are 35 bosses for 34 boss positions, one boss is not in the game and is listed at the end under "(not available)". * The boss locations are listed in vanilla order (except for Karate before Guards), followed by the summon bosses, followed by the LST bosses. * The Fabul gauntlet boss does not change names if it is actually the alt gauntlet. * Character starting weapons, if ''Cnekkie'' is on, formatted as ''character .. weapon(s)''. * If a character starts with a bow and arrows, both items will be listed. * The Fist Fight wacky removes all starting weaponry, so the spoiler log will be incorrect in this case. * Treasure, formatted as ''area .. item .. map - location [.. (MIAB: encounter)]''. The areas are listed alphabetically. In each area, the items are listed by map in the area and then in a specific order within that map, described by the location information. The map name is either descriptive or what the game displays when you enter a new map (or both). If the chest is actually a monster-in-a-box (MIAB), then the encounter formation will be listed at the end of the line. * If a chest has nothing in it, then it will read "(nothing)". * Cave Eblana's ''Exit - bottom left'' chest is only available through the ''Pass to Bab-il (north connection)'' map, except on Push B to Jump. (To be fixed in a later version.) * Shops, formatted as ''shop .. items''. Since items have fixed prices (depending on FE version), the only necessary information is what each shop is selling. Shops are listed roughly in vanilla order. * If a shop has nothing in it, as on ''Sempty'', then the log will read "(nothing)". * Items within a shop are listed in the same order as they appear in game. * Kokkol's forge shop is listed as "Smithy shop". * FuSoYa spells, if ''-vanilla:fusoya'' is not on. FuSoYa's starting spells are listed as "Initial spells" and the spells learned after each successful boss fight are listed in order. * If ''j:spells'' are on, then there will be 14 boss rows; otherwise, there are 13 boss rows. * Miscellaneous information. The spoiler log will list: * Hobs spell: The summon Rydia learns at Hobs, unless ''-vanilla:hobs'' is on. * Dwarf castle summons: The five summons Rydia learns after the first boss fight at Dwarf Castle, unless ''-vanilla:growup'' is on. * MegaNuke replacement: If ''Bwhichburn'' is on, the spell that Wyvern uses instead of its opening MegaNuke. * Smithy item: If ''-smith:alt'' is on, then the log will list the item that Kokkol forges for you from the Adamant and Legend sword. * Supersmith weapon: If ''-smith:super'' or ''Chero'' is on, then the log will list the FF4 Advance weapon that Kokkol forges. * Starter kits: The full contents of all starter kits, formatted as ''number .. item''. * Wacky challenge: The wacky challenge enabled, if any. ===== Partial Spoiler Logs ===== Instead of ''-spoil:all'', only certain subsets of the spoiler log can be provided: * Key item locations (''keyitems''). * Quest rewards (''rewards''). * Characters (''chars''). * Treasure (''treasure''). * MIABs only (''miabs''). * Shops (''shops''). * Bosses (''bosses''). * Miscellaneous info (''misc''). For example, ''-spoil:chars,miabs'' will spoil the character information and the MIAB contents/locations/encounter information. ===== Sparsity ===== The spoiler log can also be made sparse by replacing random lines in the log with '' ??? '', using ''-spoil:[sections],sparse:N'', where ''N'' is a multiple of 10 between 10 and 90. Only some sections of the log can be obscured: * Key item locations (the location will be hidden). * Quest rewards (the reward will be hidden). * Note that a quest reward line can tell you where a key item is, even if the key item location is hidden in the previous section; similarly, a spoiled key item location can reveal a hidden quest reward. * Character locations (the character will be hidden) and starting weaponry (the weapon(s) will be hidden). * Bosses (the boss at the location will be hidden). * Treasures, including MIABs. * The chest location will not be obscured, but the item and the encounter will be. * Shops (individual items will be hidden). * Smithy item/Supersmith weapon (the forge reward will be hidden). The following sections will never be obscured: * Objectives. * FuSoYa's spell list. * Rydia's Hobs and Dwarf summons. * The MegaNuke replacement spell. * Starter kit contents. * Wacky challenge.
